A Bit About Me

Having spent 17 years in the industry fresh out of college, I have always been engaged by the thought of financial planning. Money is such a large part of peoples lives and I have always been drawn to making a positive difference to my community. Using my skills and knowledge developed over my career, I made the move to being an Adviser in April 2022 and I enjoy every day working with different people, all at different stages in their lives.

It is very rewarding when you help someone onto the property ladder, provide peace of mind by setting up the right level of Protection for their peace of mind, or planning tax efficient retirement and long-term savings.

My Areas of Expertise

Having spent many years in a corporate setting gaining technical knowledge of Pensions and Investments, my main role at The Ron Jeffery Practice has been taking care of the Mortgage and Financial Protection clients.

It isn’t just about finding the best rate for customers and a basic life insurance plan. I get to know the customers circumstances, hold their hand from the first time we speak right through to them getting their keys, or moving to a new mortgage when their current one expires.

It’s also equally important to ensure that they are financially protected for whatever life throws at them, ensuring that they can stay in their property and pay their bills should something unexpected happen.

This is a family business, and we look after clients and their families. Even our Mortgage work is not just about the transaction. Since the start of 2023, I have also started working with Pension and Investment clients, as a fully qualified financial planner. Holistic financial planning is a passion of mine, it’s important to understand a client’s situation and guide them as best you can. This a people role, not a maths one!

The growing implementation and use of technology since the global pandemic in 2020 has meant that I not only service clients in my local area of Hampshire, I have clients in the Midlands and the North of England also. Be it virtual or face to face, I help people all over the country.  

Outside of Work

Outside of work my life centres around my family and friends. In my free time I enjoy socialising over food and drink with family and a tight group of friends whom I met at school.

From a young age sport has always been a big part of my life. I love playing and watching sport – Football, Rugby and Golf in the main. I have enjoyed playing all three, but now in my mid 30’s, it’s just golf for the foreseeable. I regularly enjoy/endure watching Southampton FC – with my wife being an Aston Villa fan it does cause a spilt in the household. A draw is always a good result on those matchdays!
